Join a masterclass on paper making taking place at the Tbilisi workshop of the publishing house "Niavi" in Avlabari. Artists and micro-publishers Maria and Fyodor Ovchinikov, founders of the hand-made book publisher "Niavi," will conduct the session. Their books are palm-sized, each a work of art, featuring a diverse range of content from the Georgian alphabet to anti-war poetry. They create the paper and cardboard for their books by hand. During the workshop, participants will go through all stages of paper creation and make their own sheet from scratch. On August 10, the paper will be tested in a session on hand printing. This session will be part of a two-week workshop on notebook creation and will also be open to those who did not attend the first one, as printing can be done not just in notebooks.
