Neurodiversity is the idea that cognitive and mental differences among people deserve acceptance and respect rather than correction. This month, we want to highlight the intersections within the queer and neurodivergent communities. Our "books" will be four queer people on different points of the neuro-spectrum, ready to share their life stories and answer your questions: - Nikha (she/her), 🌿Life in the third person (pros, cons, and pitfalls)🌿: living while plural, why it’s not just about multiple personalities, and debunking other myths. - Sasha (he/him), 🌿Cry so no one hears you🌿: how to survive being kicked out by parents for being queer, keep your sanity during forced institutionalization, and realize that suffering doesn’t necessarily make you stronger. - Vasya (any/all), 🌿Your local solarpunk nonbinary🌿: how I wanted to become a psychologist but shifted to direct action and disability theory instead. - Theo (he/him), 🌿There is a way out🌿: recovering from an ED, self-harm and drug addiction, accepting being a trans man, leaving an abusive relationship and working on my CPTSD and other disorders. 🐱 Moderator: Sol (he/him). At the event, you can ask questions or simply listen to the stories of people with experiences that may be very different (or, on the contrary, very similar) to yours. There are no latecomers in the library — you can arrive right at the start or drop in for just a little while!
