Join us for a lecture on art history titled "Francisco Goya. The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters." This lecture will be conducted by Nikolai Dulkin, a graduate of the Stroganov Academy and a renowned art critic. His lectures in Batumi have been a hit for the past three years, always drawing a crowd. The lecture will focus on one of the early romantic artists - Francisco Goya. Who was he? A court artist in exile, a painter celebrated for his graphics, a lover of the Duchess of Alba, or a helpless syphilitic? We will explore the life and struggles of this remarkable and controversial Spaniard who poignantly reflected the life and hardships of his people and his own tragic existence during the lecture on July 17.
