On July 27, join us for a hiking excursion in Truso Gorge with biologist Alexei Sivukhin. This beautiful location, also known as the Narzan Valley, features abandoned Ossetian villages and breathtaking nature in the Greater Caucasus. During our hike, we will explore numerous mineral springs, including a bottomless lake with drinkable water, and see the travertines, a hallmark of Truso. We will not only witness these wonders but also learn about their formation. The Truso Gorge, situated at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, offers unique conditions for biodiversity, including alpine and subalpine plants not found in Tbilisi and its surroundings. The route is long but easy, with little elevation change.
