The horror film club at CC rises from the dead! Discussion centers around the commonalities of folk horror and zombie movies. Next Tuesday, attendees will watch I Walked With a Zombie, a film that flips the psychological introspection typical of Gothic tradition, revealing fundamental contradictions in how history is experienced. This film serves as a springboard for discussion on how the undead entered the collective imagination, the forms they take, and their connections to colonialism and cultural alienation. The event features a runtime of 1 hour and 9 minutes. Entry requires a sacrificial offering of at least 10 GEL. On the evening of August 12, attendees will gather at the Community Center, starting at 20:00. The film will be screened in English with subtitles as per preferences of attendees.
