Elena Hizaar is a visual and dance artist, poet, and performer originally from the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. For the past two and a half years, she has been living in Berlin. Her artistic practice includes solo performances as well as participation in theatrical and performative projects across Russia and Europe, where she has worked as a dancer, actress, and choreographer. At the festival, she will present a performance based on structured improvisation. It will be a dance that combines fragility and strangeness, raw energy and wild expressiveness. Through movement and bodily imagery, she explores the boundaries of human nature—the balance between control and freedom, inner worlds and external space. Long live revolution!
